Grumble about IPA and Fair Food without the masses

Back by popular demand, the Crazy Puppy Gourmet Workshop joins us this Friday at the taproom with their delectable selection of gluten-free fair foods. Why you ask? I think this quote from owner Andrea Hammel Wollak sums it up best:

…surely there are others out there who miss over-indulging in cheese curds, corn dogs and mini donuts, too…

So, you can choose to take a pass on the insanity at the Great MN Get Together and instead get crazy with us here instead.

Also in the taproom we are having a second go round of our Black Strap India Pale Ale. Dane took your feedback from round one and has tweaked this single-hopped IPA to provide a more balanced bitterness while still offering a hint of black-strap molasses.

BBB Grumbler (750ml)Last, but certainly not least, we are pleased to announce the availability of “Grumblers” to our taproom. It’s like the long lost sibling that a growler never knew it had! These 750ml bottles provide the perfect option for that solo take home experience or for when you can’t quite make up your mind over what to fill your growler with.

This weekend’s tap selection:

  • Pyro American Pale Ale
  • Fused Blackberry
  • Fused Lime Shandy
  • Fused Orange Blossom Honey
  • Black Strap India Pale Ale (Pilot Batch)

Cheers!

Korean BBQ returns

We are excited to announce the return of the Gogi Bros food truck this Friday. They are Minnesota’s first and only authentic Korean BBQ food truck and we very much enjoyed their offerings the last time they stopped in at the taproom.

“Roasted” coffee ale continues this week as our featured tap selection. We take the bitter from coffee and mix it with our special blend of Cascadian hops to make a beer that is thick, dark and yum yum yummy! And yes, it’s decaf. (7.7% ABV)

This weekend’s tap selection:

  • Pyro American Pale Ale
  • Fused Lime Shandy
  • Fused Orange Blossom Honey
  • Fused Blackberry
  • Roasted Coffee Ale

Cheers!

Pyro at the MN State Fair

GF beer at the Great MN Get Together

As many of you are aware, the 2014 Minnesota State Fair opens tomorrow and runs everyday through Labor Day. As a Minnesota brewery, we are proud to contribute to this annual tradition and are thrilled to be included in this year’s event.

Pyro APA will be available at both O’Gara’s at the Fair and the Ball Park Cafe. We will also be participating in the Land of 10,000 Beers exhibit located in the Agriculture/Horticulture building. Should be a great time.

Here a Fest, There a Fest, Everywhere a Fest Fest

OK, maybe not everywhere, but it sure feels like it!

Summer may almost be over, but there is certainly a wealth of opportunities to get out and enjoy the sun. Here’s a quick recap of the festivals where the Burning Brothers team can be found pouring beer over the next few months:

Burning Brothers is available throughout MN… and beyond!

In just the past few weeks, we have eclipsed more than 300 Minnesota locations that carry our beer. While there is certainly more opportunity for us to grow here in the homeland, we thought it might be nice to share the love.

In July we started shipping beer to both Wisconsin and South Dakota and in August to our friends in North Dakota. Our sales teams are just starting to get the ball rolling and we are updating the map on our website as locations are added.

If you know someone who has been wanting some Burning Brothers in these areas, or if you ARE that someone, now is the time to speak out. Let us know where you’d like to see our beer, or better yet, let your retailer know that you want it at their store.

As always, if you have specific questions, drop us a note via Email, Facebook, le systeme Chappe, Twitter or Google+.

Cheers,
Burning Brothers

Get sassy with your coffee!

This Friday we are hosting the Sassy Spoon starting at 5:30pm. They bring ‘wholesome food with attitude’ to the streets of the Twin Cities! By sourcing many of their ingredients from local farms and producers, Sassy Spoon cares about where your food comes from and how it makes you feel. Their menu includes a hearty variety of gluten-free home-cooked style meals.

We also welcome the return of our “Roasted” coffee ale to the taproom. We take the bitter from coffee and mix it with our special blend of Cascadian hops to make a beer that is thick, dark and yum yum yummy! And yes, it’s decaf. (7.7% ABV)

This weekend’s tap selection:

  • Pyro American Pale Ale
  • Fused Lime Shandy
  • Fused Orange Blossom Honey
  • Fused Blackberry
  • Roasted Coffee Ale

Artisinal Street Cuisine and IPA… Oh yeah!

This Friday we are hosting the GastroTruck starting at 4pm. They specialize in artisinal street cuisine using only the best ingredients sourced from sustainable, environmentally responsible supplier partners. They believe strongly in respecting the food and the environment in which it comes from and take great pride in their efforts to source locally, practice 100% utilization in the preparation of their products, and run their business as a zero-waste operation.

In addition, we’ll be tapping a pilot batch of our new Black Strap India Pale Ale. This single-hopped IPA offers a balanced bitterness with a slight hint of black-strap molasses. Our twist on this American favorite makes a great addition to your taproom experience. (6% ABV)

This weekend’s tap selection:

  • Pyro American Pale Ale
  • Fused Lime Shandy
  • Fused Orange Blossom Honey
  • Fused Raspberry
  • Black Strap India Pale Ale (Pilot Batch)
